Rest in Peace

A number of members would remember long time
guild member Pam Furrer.  Pam died peacefully in her
home in Webster Groves after an extended battle with
cancer early this morning.
Pam and her husband Larry, as well as their children
were active in many facets of the guild over the years.
Pam acted in plays, was involved in many committees and
co chaired The Children’s Theatre for five years.
She was a sweet, funny lady and friend to many.

Rest in peace Diane

Diane came into our lives at TGWG in 2010 when she came to see a show.  In her ever helpful spirit she wanted to volunteer to help out in some way.  She became a member and she helped out at the door and in hospitality (when she wasn’t busy elsewhere) and she was even in one play.  She was Hoot Owl.  Most of all, she had fun. When she was around she was always telling us about all the volunteering she did.  She was one busy lady.  She loved telling jokes and she loved laughing at her own jokes.  She filled our lives with happiness.  We will miss her.

Spring Gardening at The Guild!

Thank you to those who donated flowers and donuts (Ginny, Barb, Jill, Linda, Judy & Mark)  and have been working on the front patio, lawn and the Garden of Eve!  It is absolutely gorgeous!.  (Did you know the garden was named after a beautiful woman from years back, named Eve Cromwell, who always supplied flowers for the intermission table in the lobby for every show?) Jill Lauman, Mark and Judy Moebeck,  Barb Mulligan,Mary Wessel and Linda Spall weeded, planted, cleaned the patio, dug and designed. Did you know that Judy Moebeck has volunteered for years watering the flowers and tending the yard?   Our volunteers are what make our Theater Guild so special!  Thank you!  (We can still use mulch and more flowers!),

There will be a memorial service for Rebecca Davidson on Saturday, May 10 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 808 N Mason Road, Creve Coeur, MO

A reception will follow in the parish hall.

Rebecca Davidson, who performed as Boo Levy in the season opener Last Night of Ballyhoo, passed away yesterday. Below is the notice that came from Kirkwood where she was also involved and had just performed in All My Sons in January.  She was a wonderful lady full of energy despite her battle with cancer.  She will be deeply missed.

Saying good-bye to a talented woman, an amazing volunteer and good friend!

We are sadden to share with you that Rebecca Davidson died yesterday afternoon, April 8,  She will most certainly be missed by many.

There will be a memorial service after the school term ends at St. Timothy’s, the date will be announced.  John has asked for no gifts of flowers and any donations should be to the American Cancer Society, Rebecca’s charity of choice.

Rebecca was a member of the Kirkwood Drama Studio.  The Showcase on April 10th will be dedicated to her honor.
